REFLEXOLOGY
My nervous system-informed approach to reflexology.
After almost four decades in holistic practice, my approach to reflexology continues to evolve.
My work is shaped by years of therapeutic experience, alongside my continuing study of women's health, human physiology, the nervous system & psychoneuroimmunology (PNI).
I believe that good reflexology is about more than technique.
It is also about the quality of the therapeutic experience.
The environment.
The pace.
The way we communicate.
The importance of consent, professional boundaries & individual choice.
And recognising that every woman arrives with her own experiences, preferences & needs.
My treatments are deliberately unhurried.
I work through the feet using established reflexology techniques, creating a calm, comfortable environment where you can enjoy the experience of therapeutic touch.
There is no expectation to talk.
No pressure to explain how you are feeling.
Just an opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday life & enjoy some time for yourself.
A treatment centred around you
I welcome women at different stages of life, including perimenopause, menopause & postmenopause.
Some women enjoy reflexology as part of their regular self-care.
Others simply appreciate having time away from their busy routines.
Whatever brings you to my treatment room, my intention is to offer a thoughtful, individualised experience that encourages relaxation & a sense of wellbeing.
This is where almost 40 years of holistic practice meets my continuing curiosity about human biology.

FACIAL REFLEXOLOGY
Reflexology doesn't begin & end with the feet.
I am a qualified Facial Reflexologist & have undertaken specialist training in the Bergman Method of Facial Reflexology.
Facial reflexology offers a different treatment experience from traditional foot reflexology.
Working gently across the face, I use considered facial reflexology techniques, specialist facial tools where appropriate & carefully selected facial oils.
Everything is unhurried.
The face has a rich sensory nerve supply, something I find particularly interesting alongside my wider studies of human physiology.
But my appreciation of facial reflexology goes beyond the anatomy.
I love the simplicity of the experience.
For an hour, you don't have to do anything.
No rushing.
No looking after everybody else.
No expectations.
Just time to receive a gentle, relaxing treatment in a peaceful environment.
My intention is to create an experience that feels personal, considered & centred around your comfort.

FACE + FEET
My signature extended reflexology experience.
This is where the different elements of my reflexology practice come together.
Foot reflexology.
Facial reflexology.
Therapeutic touch.
A carefully considered environment.
Almost four decades of experience.
And an understanding that sometimes the most valuable thing we can give ourselves is time.
We begin with traditional foot reflexology before moving into facial reflexology.
The extended appointment allows both treatments to be enjoyed without rushing.
There is no need to fill the silence.
There is nowhere else you need to be.
This treatment has been created for women who appreciate a longer, more indulgent reflexology experience.
An opportunity to pause.
To enjoy being looked after.
To experience the different qualities of reflexology through both the feet & face.
I bring together the parts of my work that I love most.
The familiar comfort of foot reflexology.
The gentle experience of facial reflexology.
The quietness of the treatment room.
𖥸 Touch.
𖥸 Rest.
𖥸 Quiet.
And a thoughtful approach to the woman receiving the treatment.

THE SCIENCE THAT KEEPS ME CURIOUS
What is PNI?
Psychoneuroimmunology, usually shortened to PNI, is an area of scientific research exploring communication between psychological processes, the nervous system, endocrine signalling & immune function.
It is one of the areas of human biology that fascinates me most.
Our biological systems do not exist in separate boxes.
The nervous system communicates throughout the body.
Hormones act as chemical messengers.
The immune & nervous systems interact.
Our experiences can influence aspects of our physiology, just as our physical health can influence how we experience the world.
I find these relationships fascinating, particularly in relation to women's health & the different experiences women bring into the treatment room.
My continuing education helps me think more deeply about therapeutic practice, communication, individual needs & professional responsibility.
It is important, however, to distinguish between scientific research into human physiology & evidence for the effects of a complementary therapy.
I do not use PNI to claim that reflexology treats medical conditions, regulates hormones or changes neurological pathways.
My interest in PNI is part of my continuing professional learning.
It helps inform my understanding of the wider human experience, rather than serving as evidence of a specific physiological effect from reflexology.
I believe we can be curious about science while remaining respectful of the evidence, the limitations of complementary therapy & our professional scope of practice.
That distinction matters to me.
A NOTE ABOUT MY TREATMENTS
Reflexology is a complementary therapy intended to promote relaxation & support general wellbeing.
My treatments are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions & do not replace appropriate medical advice or healthcare.
